Kakobuy Watches: Start With Wrist Proportion Before Dial Details
A watch can look perfectly proportioned in a close product photo and wear much larger or smaller than expected.
Start with dimensions.
Size map
Check when available: case diameter, case thickness, lug-to-lug, strap/bracelet length, strap width.
Compare them with a watch you already wear.
Dial map
Identify: indices, hands, subdial layout, date/window position, printed text, bezel markers.
At QC, focus on visible alignment and condition rather than making mechanical claims that the warehouse did not test.
Bracelet/strap
Check: clasp style, visible links, strap material, adjustment needs, included spare links when shown.
QC
Useful images: dial straight-on, side profile, caseback, clasp, strap/bracelet, included components, packaging if it matters.
Parcel protection
A watch is small but can be pressure-sensitive.
Keep enough protection to prevent: crystal contact with hard objects, loose metal parts moving in the parcel, clasp/hardware scratching nearby items.
Wrist-proportion test
Take a watch you own and record: case diameter, case thickness, lug-to-lug, strap/bracelet fit.
Then compare the candidate.
A 40 mm case with long lugs can wear larger than another 40 mm case with short lugs, so diameter alone is not the whole picture.
Visual QC hierarchy
Review: 1. correct model/variant; 2. dial orientation; 3. indices/markers; 4. hands; 5. date/window alignment if present; 6. bezel/outer markings; 7. case/bracelet visible condition.
Do not let a close-up of one detail distract from the overall alignment.
Function boundary
Warehouse photos can show visible state.
They do not automatically prove: timekeeping accuracy, water resistance, power reserve, long-term movement reliability.
Only claim those functions when a specific test was actually performed and documented.
Sizing the bracelet
If a bracelet is important, confirm: total fit range where available, removable links/included links, clasp type.
Keep small removed links or accessories contained during parcel packing.
