Kakobuy Links: Know Where a URL Is Supposed to Take You

A link is useful only when you know its job.

"Kakobuy links" is often used as a catch-all phrase, but shoppers encounter several different kinds of URLs during one order. Mixing them up creates avoidable problems: a category page is mistaken for a product page, an old product URL now points somewhere else, or a marketplace link is saved without the size and color notes that made it useful in the first place.

This guide separates the link types so you can move through them deliberately.

1. Category link

A category link opens a collection such as Shoes, Jackets or Bags.

Use it for discovery. It is usually more resilient than bookmarking one specific product because it gives you alternatives when a single listing changes.

2. Product link

A product link opens one specific catalog item.

Use it when you have already narrowed your choice. Before ordering, check that the title, image and selectable options still match the item you saved.

3. Source marketplace link

A source link points toward the original marketplace listing or the listing context used by the shopping agent.

Use it when you need to confirm the underlying seller page, item details or variant information.

Before you trust a saved link, ask:

Did the page open? A broken link is easy to spot. A wrong redirect is more dangerous because it looks like success.

Does the product still match? Compare the product name, primary image and visible options with what you originally saved.

Is the price still plausible? Treat old spreadsheet prices as historical context, not a guaranteed checkout price.

Are the options the same? A seller may keep one URL while changing available colors, sizes or versions.

Do I know what I am selecting? If the page contains ambiguous variant names, record your intended choice before payment.

Do not keep retrying an old URL indefinitely.

Use this fallback order:

  1. return to the relevant category;
  2. search the product name or descriptive keywords;
  3. compare new candidates;
  4. save the replacement link with fresh notes;
  5. remove the dead link from your shortlist.

This is why category pages should be part of the site architecture. They are not filler pages; they are recovery routes when individual listings disappear.

If you are building a multi-item parcel, save more than a naked URL.

For each item, keep:

  • readable product name
  • product URL
  • category
  • intended variant
  • intended size
  • price at the time you checked
  • QC note
  • parcel note such as "keep box" or "box not needed"

A clean link record reduces mistakes later when several seller orders arrive on different days.
